I’ve Been Everywhere
I came into print in 1969, a time when everyone was excited about the moon landing. My first pocket was a pair of wrangler jeans, I was traded to a clerk at a 25 cent store for a pack of gum. From there I was placed into a slot machine at a casino near Reno. Time passes and things get a little fuzzy, I had moved around a lot in the 70s, but I still remember the famous ones. In the 70s: a gumball machine exchange with Eric Clapton and a pinball game for Dustin Hoffman. The 80s: a coin flip for Cyndi Lauper and a new lucky coin for Tom Cruise. 90s & 00s: hard to tell, I started to be thrown together with more coins due to inflation. While cash is harder and harder to come by in the digital age, I’ve lived a wonderful life with heads side up and tails behind me.
Take it from me, there’s nothing better than being a quarter. So much adventure to be had, places to see, people to meet, etc. Wear this quarter costume and enjoy life like a lucky coin! It just might be your lucky day when you wear it.
